The Vostro series of laptops from Dell caters to business users. Dell has recently refreshed this lineup into its third generation with new hardware and better styling. Of these, the 3700 series can be considered as desktop replacements with 17.3" screens and full sized keyboards with a separate numeric pad. We have the Core i7 version of the Dell Vostro 3750 laptop with us today. The model we received is the topmost in the 3700 series with speedy components including a quad core hyperthreaded Intel Core i7-2630QM running at 2.00 GHz, 6 GB DDR3 RAM, a 750 GB hard drive spinning at 7,200 rpm, and NVIDIA GeForce GT 525M 1 GB (Quad Core) graphics which can be toggled with the onboard Intel GMA 3000.

Design & Features
The Dell Vostro 3750 is a desktop replacement laptop and the size shows just that with a width of 41.8 cm, depth of 28.7 cm and a thickness of around 3.5 cm. It weighs a little over 3 kg, thus rendering it almost not portable, unless you are okay with carrying around that much of a dead weight in your backpack. The case is made of a combination of aluminium and plastic and the build quality appears to be very good. The matte finish makes sure that it doesn't gather fingerprints. The piece we received came with Aberdeen Silver colour scheme, while the laptop is also available in Brisbane Bronze and Lucerne Red.
The first thing you will notice while opening the laptop lid is that it is remarkably rigid. This is due to the sturdy metal hinges, which allow a tight grip and also let you open up the lid to as much as 130 degrees.
