LG Doubleplay for T-Mobile first press shots leaked

Tuesday, October 18, 2011

We got a first look at this LG handset back in June after it accidently debuted at an industry event in London, even back then it had the T-Mobile branding so we’ve always known which network this device was heading to. It showed up again in August with the codename Flip II and model number C729. Now we have the first press shots after they were leaked to PocketNow, and we can confirm it will go on sale as the LG Doubleplay.
The smartphone will be running Android’s Gingerbread operating system. It features a slide-out QWERTY keyboard which was split in the middle to make room for a second touchscreen, to compliment the main 320×480 HVGA display. It also has a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera but apart from that there’s not much more known about the specs at the moment.
According to a leaked document published by TmoNews the LG Doubleplay will launch November 2nd on T-Mobile, alongside four other handsets. It will cost $150 with a two year contract.
