Google, Microsoft and Yahoo in the fight against spam

Companies "Google", "Microsoft", "Yahoo", "AOL" and "Facebook" have left their rivalry aside to fight their common enemy, such as spamming, namely advertising by e-mail and "phishing" (phishing).


Internet giants announced they have teamed up with "Bank of America"​​, "Pei Pal" and others in the fight against spam and "phishing", where it usually sends an email in which the recipient is required to disclose their password or other information transmitted the AFP.

After a year and a half of joint cooperation, they have announced the establishment of technical working group known as DMARC.org.

"This type of Internet fraud, deception of millions of people and companies per year, resulting in the loss of consumer confidence in e-mail and from the Internet as a whole," said the president's Bret DMARC.org McDowell.

"Industrial cooperation, combined with technology and education of consumers is crucial in the fight against 'phishing'," said McDowell.
