Report revealing plans to fit the Apple operating system Mac OS X Lion for computers with ARM architecture, expired yesterday evening on the Internet blog reports Apple Insider. Academic material whose author is a former intern and current OS engineer in "apple" Tristan Shaap revealed secret details about the company's experiment in the transfer of the operating system on Intel-based architecture to its ARM alternative.

In 2010, his diploma for a bachelor's degree at the University "Delft" in Holland, Shaap says the experience gained during the 12-week internship at Apple. Initially the student's request not to publish his thesis work for sensitive information in it is executed, a few months ago but the text appears in the public records of the university.

While there is no guarantee that described in the thesis experiments will lead to changes in hardware base used for the manufacturing of computers by Apple, is still curious that the company does seek an alternative to Intel.

Similar tests were carried out before the transition from PowerPC to Intel hardware in 2005 is interesting to note that Apple's then experiments were a failure, leading to the decision to be bought NeXT company and the return of Steve Jobs.
