Details on upcoming mobile operating system Windows Phone 8 leaked online late last night, reports the blog Engadget.Sources on the site were acquired with a video in which one of the managers of the project explains that Windows Phone 8 will support dual-core mobile processors and higher resolution screen. This implies a high-end devices that are planned for the flagship platform, code-named Apollo.
The operating system will support and work with external SD memory cards and technology NFC (Near-field communications) contactless payment.
Essentially, the software will be very similar to the standard version of Windows 8 and thus will launch an ecosystem between Microsoft's mobile and desktop devices.
